The most important rule for computers

This is a small post to remind everyone of the first three rules of computer maintenance, backup, backup, backup. Anyone who runs a business, who has family photos or who has important documents or emails on their computer should have a backup plan in place.

What does this mean though? It means that not only should a backup be running that is automatic and regular, but it also should be tested. Many people that we talk to claim to have some backup running but when asked if they have tested whether they can actually restore from it they have no idea. This is akin to having a lifeboat that has never been tested to see if it floats.

Our recommendation is to get an assessment done today, book an appointment and get it sorted as the consequences of not having a backup when disaster strikes are not pleasant.
